Testimonials

Julie Scott

After nearly 30 years of living with pain from an injury from my youth and several sessions at other PT centers, I am so beyond grateful that I was referred to Apogee! When traditional PT methods alone proved unsuccessful, it was the combination of these methods with dry needling that gave me my life back. I am so thankful to all the staff at this wonderful facility!

Women’s health concerns can affect comfort, mobility, bladder control, and everyday activities. Some symptoms develop during pregnancy or after childbirth, while others occur at different stages of life.

At Apogee Therapy Center, women’s health physical therapy addresses pelvic floor dysfunction, muscle weakness, and movement-related concerns. Our Greenville and Spartanburg clinics provide individualized care based on your symptoms, medical history, and personal goals.

When Can Women’s Health Physical Therapy Help?

Women’s health physical therapy may benefit patients experiencing:

  • Urinary leakage, urgency, or difficulty controlling the bladder
  • Pelvic pain or discomfort during intercourse
  • Pregnancy-related or postpartum pelvic floor weakness
  • Diastasis recti (abdominal muscle separation)
  • Constipation associated with pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Lower back, hip, or sacroiliac joint discomfort
  • Pelvic floor muscle tension or difficulty relaxing
  • Movement limitations following a C-section or other pelvic surgery

Physical therapy may also help manage certain symptoms associated with conditions such as endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, or vulvodynia. Treatment addresses related physical limitations rather than the underlying medical condition.

How Women’s Health Physical Therapy Works

Women's health therapists at Apogee

Women’s health physical therapy begins with an evaluation of your symptoms, movement, muscle function, and daily activities.

Depending on your needs, treatment may include pelvic floor muscle training, relaxation exercises, mobility work, strengthening, and education about activities that affect symptoms.

Your physical therapist develops a plan that considers your comfort, treatment preferences, and goals. Not every patient requires the same techniques, and treatment can change as your needs evolve.
